Introduction to Photoshop

In the Introduction to Adobe Photoshop course, students learn the foundational tools and features of Photoshop that are necessary for editing photos and creating graphic designs. The course covers techniques for adjusting, enhancing, and organizing images, as well as strategies for exporting them in various file types, dimensions, and color modes.

Master Basic Photoshop Tools and Adjustments: Recognize the tools in Photoshop and learn how to use them for photo corrections and adjustments. This includes techniques for improving image quality and achieving desired effects.
Enhance and Supplement Graphics for Marketing: Learn how to adjust and compose images to enhance marketing materials. You will gain skills to supplement and create files necessary for professional graphic projects.
Organize Files and Layers in Photoshop: Understand how to manage files and layers within Photoshop’s interface. Proper organization is crucial for working, especially when dealing with complex projects.
Export and Adjust Images for Different Formats: Learn to adjust and export images based on different file types, dimensions, and color settings. This ensures the graphics are optimized for use in various digital or print media.

Most of our coding classes utilize freely-available open-source software. For most of our design and motion graphics courses, we will help you get set up with a free trial of Adobe Creative Cloud. If you attend the course in-person, we will have a computer already set up for you with all of the required software for no additional cost.
